Get Belly Tone! 3 Strategies For Great Belly Tone

The type of exercise you do is really important to melt the fat and achieve good belly tone. For starters, you really can’t spot-melt the fat by doing only exercises for the abs.

In fact, for best belly tone, you need several types of exercise. You need these three strategies of exercise: aerobic/low impact, surge, and weight resistance.

Aerobic exercise can be achieved by doing things like walking, jogging or using the elliptical machines.

If you’re like me, you get bored easily, and can’t stand being on the machines for very long. So some aerobic exercise options are rollerblading, ballroom dancing, or even a salsa-aerobic class (great because you don’t need a partner).

It doesn’t matter what you do. Just as long as you get moving and move for 30 minutes at a pace where you are only slightly breathless. You could even turn on some great music and ballroomdancingmagic.org/dance-moves/foxtrot'>dance in your living room!

Surge training is when you alternate short periods of high intensity exercise with periods of rest.

For example, you could jog in place for 20 seconds (go as hard as you can), and then rest for 20 seconds.

Repeat twice more, and then rest for 2 minutes.

Then repeat the entire cycle two more times.

This will actually train your body to produce a fat-burning hormone that will get some nice belly tone going very quickly!

You can increase your surge/rest periods if you like. Just make sure if you increase the surge period, you also increase the rest time between surges (30 second surge, 30 second rest).

And don’t do a surge longer than 60 seconds, or you’ll kick in the fat-storing hormone!

Weight resistance will build muscle, which is good. If you want healthy muscles without the bulk, then use low weights like 2.5 to 5 lbs.

This will create long lean lines and really help that belly tone. In fact, healthy muscles actually help burn your fat, even when you’re sleeping!

Doctors recommend that you get at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 4 times a week. It’s true that this can help get rid of extra bulk and get that slim belly tone so many of us are after.

Many people feel discouraged when they see that they need to do all those types of exercise. But the secret is to do more than one type of exercise at a time.

You can easily do your weight training when you do aerobic exercise, OR when you do surges. Carry small dumbbells when you walk or rollerblade or ballroomdancingmagic.org/dance-moves/foxtrot'>dance in the living room.

You could also do bicep curls while you’re running in place for your surge training. Spend a few minutes brainstorming, and you could come up with some great ways to get that belly tone.

It doesn’t have to be overwhelming. In fact, a flat and great belly tone could be just a few weeks away, even if you start small and add a little bit each week.
